Infiltration and exfiltration allows the house to “breathe” and helps prevent moisture damage from occurring. Warm moist air rises due to stack effect and gets trapped in your attic. Besides quality of the air you breathe, roofing manufacturers will not warranty a roof that is not adequately vented.
